Nicholas Nosh is proud to be the littlest pirate in the world. When his awful cousin Primrose tells him he's too small to be a real pirate, he just has to show her she's wrong! But before long he wishes he'd kept his mouth shut. When he tries to prove that he can attack and conquer a pirate ship, Primrose is kidnapped and Nicholas can't face asking her rich father to pay up a ransom. In the end, though, he proves that he can be as brave as someone big, and storms aboard the enemy ship to rescue her.
